Woven wire cloths
These are produced by weaving wire. Woven wire cloths have continuous warp wire, without prior crimping or shaping. This family of products includes a wide range of cloths using different kinds of weaving.
Plain weave

In this kind of weaving, single weft and warp wires alternate over and under.

>
Twilled weave

In this type of weave, each warp wire and each weft wire passes successively over two and under the next adjacent pair of wires.

>
Herringbone twilled weave

In this type of weave, each warp wire and each weft wire passes successively over two and under the next adjacent pair of wires.

>
Plain dutch weave

This is a special kind of weaving in which the weft wires, which are normally of a smaller diameter than the warp wires, are woven so that they are fully joined together.

>
Twilled dutch weave

Wire cloth in which each weft wire passes successively over two and under the next adjacent pair of warp wires.

>
VICO-Multiplex weave

VICO-Multiplex® cloths use groups of wires for both weft and warp, consequently there are no mesh openings.

>
Calendered wire cloth

This is a weave with a pre-crimped weft, whereby the weft wires are also specially calendered to give the wire cloth a relatively flat surface.

Crimped, lock crimped and welded meshes
Crimped and locked crimped wire meshes are produced by weaving wires that have previously been crimped or locked, while the welded meshes are produced by spot-welding of wires. They are used in various fields of application, such as for example, the construction, mining, mechanics and food industry. Costacurta has a wide range of these meshes in stock to meet clients’ emergencies.
Crimped wire meshes

Obtained by weaving previously crimped wires. If each crimp corresponds to a wire interlace, the mesh is known as plain weave crimping.

>
Locked crimped wire meshes

These are made by weaving previously locked wires. There are two types of locked crimped wire mesh: single locked crimped mesh, in which the wires cross over alternately in correspondence to a locked crimping imprint and a piece of non crimped wire, and double locked crimped mesh, in which the wires cross over at every crimping.

>
Welded meshes

These are made up of overlaid wires at right angles to each other, joined by spot-welding.
