Heat shrink packaging
Heat shrink packaging is a type of packaging used to wrap together products that are typically of equal size, such as stationery items, cosmetics, bottles and food products.
The products to be packaged are covered with a shrink wrap film and passed through a packing machine equipped with a continuous oven and an extractor fan for cooling. The heat produced bythe oven shrinks the film by up to 50% of its original size, therefore allowing it to adhere perfectly to the product. Once the wrapped product has cooled, the film maintains its new shape.
The products are moved inside the continuous oven and under the aspiration hood for cooling on metal conveyor belts.
Costacurta conveyor belts for shrink wrap packaging are made with high-quality materials in order to resist the temperatures inside the oven and are sized so that they can support the load to be conveyed. The surfaces of the belts are also uniform in order to keep the products stable and in the desired position.
As well as guaranteeing a high-quality product, Costacurta provides technicians and engineers to assist clients in the selection of the most suitable type of belt for their shrink wrap packaging lines.
