Conveyor belts

For high temperatures

Brazing

Brazing consists of joining together different metal pieces with the aid of a filler material, typically silver, aluminium or copper. In this process, the pieces are not joined by fusion, but rather by a joining that has characteristics halfway between welding and bonding. This joining is made possible by melting the filler material that then penetrates by capillary action. The material is then cooled to solidify. This technique is commonly used in the production of compressors for household electrical appliances, radiators, heaters and heat exchangers.

Brazing typically takes place inside continuous brazing ovens that can reach temperatures of approximately 1150°C. The pieces to be treated move inside the continuous ovens on conveyor belts for high temperatures.

Costacurta conveyor belts for high temperatures are sized according to operating conditions, the sizes of the pieces to be treated and the workload. They are normally made in stainless steel 314 (W. Nr. 1.4841), NiCr 37/18 (W. Nr. 1.4864), INCONEL 600 (W. Nr. 2.4816), INCONEL 601 (W. Nr. 2.4851) and NiCr 80/20 (W. Nr. 2.4869).

As well as guaranteeing a high-quality product, Costacurta provides technicians and engineers to assist clients in the selection of the most suitable type of belt for their machinery and processes.
